Recruitment Manager - Professional

I am a Recruitment Manager at Multitask Personnel, running the Professional desk to help existing clients on current vacancies, as well as bringing in new clients.

My focus is working with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Business Development Managers, Engineering Managers & Management Accountants across all Mechanical, Electrical, Data, Commercial, Security and Groundworks roles, in a variety of industries such as Construction, Building Services & Civils.

Understanding my clients & candidates has always been one of my priorities, so building that relationship to understand their requirements is key to success.

Experience in recruitment

I have over 7 years’ experience in recruitment, starting as a Resourcer in ‘any & every’ recruitment, to becoming a Trainee Consultant in Engineering, which then gave me that recruitment buzz. Recruitment was no longer a job and became my career as I moved on to become a Consultant and then a Senior and Branch Manager!

Coming from an Engineering background working in construction roles, I made the Engineering and Manufacturing sector my home, running my own business that specialised in Technical recruitment, before joining Multitask Personnel in 2021 to manage the Professional desk, which is proving to be a great fit.

My plan is to grow the Professional desk with a team of consultants and provide effective recruitment solutions to some Top 20 clients.

About me

I’m from a little town called Cleckheaton in West Yorkshire, have a partner and two children….and a Rabbit (Fudge) who acts like a dog!

Rhodes, Greece is such a perfect island, but in the UK it would have to be a zoo or safari park – nothing better spending my free time as a family. Love it!

When I was younger I never had a ‘dream’ job, but from the age of 6/7 my answer was always ‘I want to work in an office, to dress up, wear heels and makeup every day, and chat to people on the phone’ …..I guess you could say I’m doing that now!

My mum still laughs to this day as my nickname growing up was ‘Laura boots’. I have always had a thing for shoes & boots; even on my ‘dress down’ days you can guarantee my ‘Laura boots’ are on; flat & laced up!
